I had the same issue. I was wearing cloth, my son was wearing cloth. Seemed like we did nothing but launder diapers.

Right now my kids have their own issues so we try to keep this from them and cloth diapers and the associated laundry would make discretion hard. Plus, the downside of cloth diapers are the plastic pants. Ugh, HOT!!

Seriously porkchop you must try some pul pants. Pul(polyurethane laminate) is not as hot or uncomfortable as vinyl or latex. It is slightly breathable but very durable and long lasting.

I am not a huge fan though of cloth diapers- too much hassle most of the time

I really ought to put that on my list....

PUL is much nicer than vinyl, but still not enough for me to want to keep using cloth.

Oh, I wasn't going to try cloth.... just the PUL pants!
