inside of diapers breaking up

anyone experience this? it seems like in the morning when i change the inside stuff is all broken up. is this normal?

It's not unusual for the absorbent padding inside a disposable diaper to break up and form clumps, especially when it gets wet. Wearing snug underwear over the diaper can reduce or eliminate the problem. The severity of the problem also varies a lot from brand to brand. It is worst in cheap store-brand diapers. Top-of-the-line brands work much better.
