When my testes became sensitive again it confirmed for me that my prostate infection is back. My doctor has put me on cipro until I can get in to see a specialist.
I already suspected the infection was returning based on my sore back and urinary frequency, however my doctor wasn't sure. When my testes became sensitive this time it followed the same pattern it did last time. The sore back was put off both times to a previous injury and back problems.
Meanwhile my bladder control has become worse. Until a couple of weeks ago I didn't wear 24/7. I wore at night and in the mornings. I only wore occasionally during the day if I was going to be away from the house for extended periods or if I was just having a bad day. But over the last couple of weeks my frequency has really picked up and I am getting less warning and stronger urges. Most of the time diapers seemed to be more of a 'just in case' and a convenience so I didn't have to rush to a toilet. I would try to practice holding it and would only release when the urge became strong. The last few days especially I've had regular 'accidents' where I thought I was holding it but the flow started anyway. I've even had constant dribbles.

I'll see the specialist next Tuesday and it is none too soon. My bladder is feeling uncomfortable, if it gets any worse I might have my wife bring me to the ER. Despite regular voiding it's only coming out in small amounts and I still feel heavy. I thought I could manage this but now it's starting to worry me.

Sorry to hear of your troubes Once Upon A Time, it is frustrating to say the least when it gets to that point, and I also notice that my urgency issues also get much worse, to the point where I won't leave the house to go anywhere without wearing something. Get checked out, and I hope the Cipro does it's thing and settles it down for you, 8) Puffy

Thanks for that Puffy. At least now I have a direction to head. We'll see what the specialist says next week. It will be nice to know what has been causing all this discomfort. When I had to wear occasionally it didn't bother me too much, it was easy to wear loose clothing and manage around it. But now having to wear regularly it is becoming more of an issue, I'm running out of relaxed and loose fitting pants to wear. Then there is the fact that wearing more often increases the odds that someone will discover your problem. I was bit embarrassed a few days ago at the doctor's office when I had to provide a urine sample. Providing the sample was simple, they provided a private restroom to undo everything and gather a sample. But afterwards when I was sitting by the nurse station a young boy sitting next to me looked in my direction and seemed to notice something and began to chuckle. I realised my shirt wasn't tucked in all the way exposing my belt line. I quickly pulled my shirt down but he had already seen and was having his chuckle. I was glad to hear his mom politely told him that wasn't nice, but she herself had a bit of a chuckle too. I don't blame him, he's young & he saw something he didn't expect. I realised however that the surroundings may have helped the mother to understand since we were in a doctor's office. Had we been in a non-medical setting the response could have easily been different.
