I got the results of my CT scan back. The Neurologist called me, I do indeed have a compressed nerve due to swelling. It may be the culprit on why I am incontinent and I have numbness in my legs. *sighs* Upsetting, but there is good news.

As the swelling subsides I will gain everything back, but it may take time, as much as 6 months in some places like where there's swelling from my knee to my hip. The other nerve ends are not compressed but are making a sympathetic vibe to the right side. There's also a bit of swelling elsewhere compressing the pudendal nerve and the pelvic splanchnic nerve, which she believes is where the nerves are being interrupted at things on sending signals to my bladder.

With time, the swelling will go away on its own, and I will gain all function again.

That will make me so happy, but it may take months for it naturally. She said there are surgical methods but she strongly advises against any of that unless the conditions get worse or doesn't change within 4-6 months.

So it looks like I'll be in diapers until the end of the year o.o;;

In the grand scheme, that's great news; also, I like being right.

How has it been shaping up, a few months later? Nerve damage is a big part of my incontinence as well. I'm pretty eager to find out how other people might be recovering from it. It appears you've not been on this forum since this post, however, but hey even if you're reading this months after I've written it and I'm not active anymore, feel free to respond any way. You never know when I might return.
